Cooperative Law

Many clients who are strongly attracted to the Collaborative Law approach of achieving a negotiated resolution by eliminating or reducing adversarial bargaining as much as possible have balked at the lawyers drop out requirement if no settlement is reached. Offshoots of Collaborative Law have been developed for them—generally by Collaborative Lawyers. The most recognized and widely acknowledged technique, called Cooperative Law," includes most of the Collaborative Law procedures except for the "lawyer disqualification" provision, frequently replacing it with a cooling off period if no settlement is reached.

We don’t approach these ADR techniques dogmatically and are ready and willing to assist you with whatever best suits your needs, including Cooperative Law.
